I have cleared the workbench of two more projects.
First to be cleared is the RGM-237C Powered GM Cardigan from Build Fighters Try. The RGM-237C is based on the RGM-79C Powered GM from the MS Gundam 0083: Stardust Memories OVA. Besides the head mounted Vulcan cannons, laser rifle and beam saber of the RGM-79C, the RGM-279C is also armed with two shoulder heavy lasers and two forearm mounted Gatling guns. It all so adds two shields on manipulator arms.
Initially, when I picked this kit up because it was going to be part of my GM collection, even though it is not part of the Universal Century timeline. I admit that I was not a fan of the color scheme, but it has definitely grown on me.
The second build to be completed is the MSM-03C Hy-Gogg from MS Gundam 0080 – War in the Pocket OVA.The Hy-Gogg is an mass-produced amphibious assault mobile suit of the Zeon forces. The Hy-Gogg is armed with four head mounted torpedo tubes, two machine cannons mounted in the body and beam cannons mounted in the palms of the hands. Optionally, missiles can be attached to the hands. While traveling under water, the arms are in-cased in water tight pods that are blown away when the missiles are launched.
This is one of those mobile suit designs that even in small-scale gives you the creeps. I do not even want to imagine what it would be like to see a full size Hy-Gogg climbing out of the ocean.
